A Combined Measurement Method for the Seafloor Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Network

The idea of constructing the “GNSS-like” seafloor geodetic network for underwater positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) has been proposed by many countries. Based on this idea, paper introduces principle PNT provides a combined measurement method, including absolute positioning relative positioning. Experimental results show that difference between method circle-sailing is approximately 10 cm, observation efficiency higher than existing in network. In addition, model derived to determine optimal configuration unit (the basic component network), considering ranging capability acoustic beacons, which helpful balance side length number sessions Finally, chain coordinate transfer strategy whole proposed, positions where should be carried out are based conditional adjustment model. strategy, design schemes with centimeter, decimeter, meter accuracy when velocity measuring 0.02 m/s time 10−5 s, given experimental section.
